Chittenango N.Y. Awarded $4.5 Million NY Forward Grant for Downtown Revitalization.
Chittenango, NY – (3/13/2025) The Village of Chittenango is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a $4.5 million grant through the New York State NY Forward program. This significant investment will fuel the revitalization of Chittenango’s downtown, creating a more vibrant and prosperous future for the community.
The NY Forward program, an initiative by Governor Kathy Hochul, focuses on invigorating downtowns in New York’s smaller and rural communities. This award recognizes Chittenango’s potential for growth and the village’s commitment to enhancing its downtown area.
We are incredibly excited and grateful to receive this NY Forward grant. This funding will allow us to implement transformative projects that will enhance our downtown, attract visitors, and improve the quality of life for our residents. We are looking forward to the opportunities this grant will bring to Chittenango.
The $4.5 million grant will be used to support projects identified in the village’s strategic investment plan, which was developed with input from community members, local businesses, and stakeholders.
